Privacy Policy

BoothKita ("we", "us") provides self-service photobooth software for photobooth operators. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. BoothKita is operated by Akieez Tech Enterprise (SSM Reg. No. 202603182616 (MA0349526-V)).

Data we collect

  • Operator accounts — name and email address, collected through our sign-in provider (Clerk) when an operator registers.
  • Billing data — subscription payments are processed by CHIP (CHIP IN Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.). We store payment references and amounts; we never see or store card or banking credentials.
  • Photobooth sessions — photos taken at a kiosk are composited on the kiosk device and uploaded to our storage provider so customers can download them. Session records (timestamps, amounts, statuses) are stored to operate the service.
  • Kiosk telemetry — kiosk health data (camera/printer status, app version, heartbeat timestamps) to provide monitoring for operators.

How we use data

  • To provide and operate the BoothKita service.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To deliver photos to photobooth customers via download links.
  • To support operators and improve the service.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customer photos for any purpose other than delivering them.

Retention

Photos and session logs are retained according to the operator's plan (7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro) and then eligible for deletion. Operators are responsible for informing their customers about the photobooth's photo handling.

Your rights

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date.
